The Words of the Wind

The wind has spoken…your wick no longer burns bright.

Your fire has been flickering low for many seasons.

The winds have been affecting your sails and sent you adrift.

Where did you go? Why couldn't you find your way?

A long time past, I unhitched my wagon…I uncleated my lanyard and unmoored my ship. I was sinking…and so were you.

Why didn't you take the outstretched hand?

Who were those two?

The colors I now see….deep breath…breathe.

The water so calm…like glass…so peaceful…so blue…so mysterious…mystery…the mystery so true.

The heaviness I feel…your light unfound.

I can't let the water fill my lungs…take me under…sink my vessel.

You stopped moving in the sea…so still…it took you under.

The mystery to me…the mystery so true.

The beauty I saw…the depth most of all.

The shadows were always close by…always trying to prevent the beautiful flower from receiving nourishment from the sun.

Did you go into the forbidden tunnel inside? There are wicked demons, dragons and temptors that make you see askew.

You told me! You knew!

Always on the run, my beautiful one.

We traveled many a mile…climbed the mountain to reach the peak. There we gasped…the breathtaking beauty…filling my heart and soul…never to let go…never!

The hold began to slip from the moisture. Our hands would no longer hold.

Suddenly the grasp was only at the fingertips…the fear…the yearning for safe ground…the helplessness…the unknown.

Your eyes said everything to me…the doors to your soul were opened by you…I saw the pristine view.

I saw the sunflowers, the sunshine and all the colors through and through.

The fire once so bright, so intense within, extinguished by the wind…

The words of the wind have been heard.

Your spirit now soars, over the canyon…so free…riding the drafts…taking in the colors and hues…the flight so high…the eagle emerges and touches the sky. You make it cry with the clarity indeed…the visions you now see.

Blessed we were…those who knew…who saw the beauty inside of you. How unfortunate you didn't too.

Your light and fire touched and warmed us all…I will never forget you.

To thine own self be true…

My Island in the Sky

Come and visit my island in the sky. Take sunshines with the rain. Rainbows are very abundant on my island in the sky. They say there is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, but remember, material things are never everlasting they are just a fleeting gratification my oh my, please come visit my island in the sky, and by the way you don't have to die.

Time

Time is an invisible jail. It surrounds our life with time to stop, time to go, time to work, and time to play. Its time to unwind and be free of time, because its all in the mind. Its time to be your own person. Its time to shine, to be bright with might to overlook time, and not be confined. Lets be fair because we don't care about the time of the world keeping up with the paceof time, going and coming. After all that is said and done, its time for me to end this poem. Time is not the essence, you are the essence. This is the end of my lesson.

Ourselves Must be Beneath the Couch

Can man depend on man day to day for whatever. Sometimes yes and sometimes no. One thing that we can always depend on is nature the good earth. For the flowers bloom each spring. The soil provides food each year. The love in us makes things grow within and without. The fire of the soul burns eternally eternal, and the golden women provides a fire of desire for man to keep warm and grow and multiply and build nations and formations. The fire is lit so we can fit in this complex world of eat, drink and be merry for tomorrow we die.

An Early Spring

Its an early spring, and our hearts sing of beautiful ways and more beautiful days.
The birds are singing love songs so we can't go wrong, it is spring again. April rain
will bring May flowers and hours of cool breezes that eases our minds it even makes
us feel good as we should. Nature is coming back alive after a nice sleep that deep
when nature sleeps, it sends its animals out to see if it is all right to be bright once
again, when all the world have another time to shine.

Some lines posted on the refrigerator by Kupritzs over the years

Sometimes we are so concerned with where we are going,
We forget to appreciate how far we have come.

What if everything were otherwise?

A question to ponder:
Can one grow shorter?

Even a broken clock is accurate twice a day.

My room is not messy,
it's just full (guess which Kupritz posted this)

....that soon to be famous line written 12/9/90 by Phil
"He has a garbage truck at his disposal"

When you love someone, you do not love them all the time, in exactly the same way, from moment to moment. It is an impossibility. It is even a lie to pretend to. And yet this is exactly what most of us demand. We have so little faith in the ebb and flow of life, of love, of relationships. We leap at the flow of the tide and resist in terror its ebb. We are afraid it will never return. We insist on permanency, on duration, on continuity; when the only continuity possible, in life as in love, is in growth, in fluidity - in freedom, in the sense that the dancers are free, barely touching as they pass, but partners in the same pattern.

The only real security is not in owning or possessing, not in demanding or expecting, not in hoping, even. Security in a relationship lies neither in looking back to what was in nostalgia, nor forward to what it might be in dread or anticipation, but living in the present relationship and accepting it as it is now. Relationships must be like islands, one must accept them for what they are here and now, within their limits - islands, surrounded and interrupted by the sea, and continually visited and abandoned by the tides.

The time that's now is inbetween
Of finding that which was not seen
Reaching down and up and through
To touch the old and make it new

God gave us Bach that we might know his word
God gave us Mozart that we might  know his laughter
God gave us Beethoven that we might know his wrath
God gave us music that we could pray without words.

Then Another Tomorrow

Then another tomorrow they never told me of.
It came with the beauty of a golden sunrise.
Music and colors combining as one,
paving new roads and new ways for a brighter and better world for us all.
Remember we are walking and talking music the universal language.
Happy space age to you and yours.

Oba is a homeless man I met in the city.
He told me he needed money but had only this poem to give me.
He said you can't get something for nothing and this was all he could give.

Any idea of transcendence (i.e." being")
can only exist in reference to that which is being transcended.
Since the solution cannot exist without the problem,
in fact exist only in constant reference to it,
what in the final analysis is transcended?
P.Pithicus

Envision yourself tomorrow
Live today without sorrow
It's alright to care
No matter who stares
Express, distress, success, excess, what a mess
Don't be a slogan
Sell yourself to yourself
Time is not money
Eat it up like honey
Make music from within
Expression is no sin

pathfinder

when all the world seems blown out of proportion lean back
close your eyes
be still

listen to the roaring silence
find peace within yourself
& strengthen your inner beauty
others will join - absorbing your radiance
touch
reflect
reach out

bring new found strength and beauty with you
& the world
will once again gain recourse

Hearth burning bright,
Shed some heat into my night,
Silhouettes roam,
Shadows moan,
You who share my space,
Why do you leave with such haste,
Excavate your darkside,
Inside yourself you can't hide,
But don't look to long,
You'll find yourself far from home,
Lost looking beyond,
Not recognizing your pond,
Trying to be who you wanted to be,
Realizing nobody's really free,
Then you awake from solitude,
From flying above reality so crude,
Healing, feeling, being,
Life isn't always mean.

: : changing with the unknown : :

emerging from comforting darkness
& blinded by beautiful light
scared of the unknown
yet,
excited to take that first step
riding on the surface of the water with your head held high
like some demigod
you encounter a ripple leading you inwards
to a fearsome rage
growing
mounting
as your world reels with change
succumb and drink from what it has to offer
as it had demandingly approached, so it ebbs,
leaving you in a peaceful calm
you chuckle to yourself and say,
"that wasn't so bad" - turning
only to find yourself at the crest of another wave

Why Do I Need This Smoke?

Why Do I need this smoke?
It's really becoming a bad joke.
I started on a whim,
Just to understand this sin.
Now I know and would like to forget,
Though the addiction won't seem to let.
It's seems kind of funny,
While I waste my money.
Voluntarily, myself I kill,
Though I enjoy it still,
It has become a social tool,
but not just to to look cool,
It seems to be a gap,
when conversations lack,
I think I'll quit,
though its hard to do it

They say it could never happen here,
in a country we hold so dear.
Ask not what your country could do to you,
it frightens me the powers of so few.
